Go Green is Hampton Roads' premier, horticultural, sustainability, indoor event!
This year's theme is "Garden for Nature"!
Go Green 2022 is sponsored jointly by the Newport News, Hampton and York County/Poquoson Master Gardeners under the auspices of the Virginia Cooperative Extension.
We will hold virtual events in the form of videos by speakers as well as videos of workshops. If you would like to purchase a Rain Barrel or Vermiculture kit, we are in the process of scheduling workshops for 2022. Visit this site often for updates.
For the past 11 years the Go Green has been a big success with tremendous participation from the community! We have featured many diverse vendors and exhibitors who presented unique handmade products and fascinating new information and perspectives on how to live well.
Many speakers have provided invaluable presentations on topics relevant to our environment and the practice of sustainability. We've covered landscaping and lawns, composting and Integrated Pest Management, raising bees, bunny rabbits, and chickens, and much, much, more!
We have also offered many activities for children and families, musical entertainment, refreshments and a variety of foods from local businesses. When restrictions are lifted, we hope to again offer more of the same services to the community in the future.
